I am not sure if he is afghan or iranian. On is webpage it says he was born in Iran but somewhere else afghanis are claiming him to be one of their own. He lives in germany and is all the rage in afghan/persian music with his debut album: After Love

I love Valy, and he is definently afghan.
He was born in Iran but to Afghan parents. There are over 1 million Afghan refugees that live in Iran. I was also born in Iran, but I am 100% Afghan, just like Valy.
