Google Voice and iPhone

Recently got an invite to Google Voice. Its Google’s approach to VoIP.

Features I like:

* Record incoming calls. Which can then be emailed or downloaed as mp3 file or simply embedded on a website.

* Customized greetings for your contacts (currently you can only record greeting from your phone, in future ability to upload an mp3 file as a greeting may be added)

* Voicemail transcripts. Although its not perfect if the caller has an accent or is drunk :>

* Ability to block unwanted callers i.e SPAM control (Telemarketers and old girlfriends will be frustrated)

* Call screening and Listen In

* Add as amany numbers to your GV number -work, home, office, mobile etc and answer your calls from any one of them based on your settings and who the caller is.

* international rates (rate to pak is 0.09 cents / minute when i use my iPhone combined with Google Voice)

Features I’d like added:

* being able to send and receive (emailed as a pdf to my email addrress) FAX

* ability to record outbound calls

* push SMS notification

I have added Sean Kovacs GV Mobile app for iPhone to integrate Google Voice on my iPhone.

(GV Mobile is not a product of Google)
