Commemorating Freedom & Independence on the occasion of Pakistan’s 63rd Independence Day on 14 August 2010, this video presents a nostalgic and insightful glimpse of the country’s journey of struggles & independence, first from the British Raj, and an assortment of adversities ever since.
The 20 minute documentary begins with memories of the historic independence achieved through the freedom movement which eventually carved Pakistan out of the Indian sub-continent.
Although perpetually facing a variety of afflictions since independence, the nation is reminded of the numerous achievements and accomplishments of Pakistan with reflection and motivation through the wise words of Pakistan’s founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah, who had envisioned great prosperity for Pakistan; provided the principles he laid down were observed sincerely.
Yet, with the perpetual political, economic and international challenges including threats and destruction from terrorism and natural disasters, it is inevitable to experience the spirit of patriotism and motivation faltering. Especially at this juncture of uncertainty and despair surrounding the Pakistani nation.
Quaid-e-Azam’s wisdom and far-sightedness is proven phenomenal with each of his messages hitting bull’s eye even today – 6 decades later.
The evergreen messages of Quaid-e-Azam ignite a spirit of Hope & an urge for Freedom from despair or hopelessness, while establishing Faith, in the fact that with our national heritage of sacrifice and struggles, ‘we shall emerge triumphant’, IF we establish a sense of responsibility and individual honesty.
