Pakistan Day Parade 2007

Thanks to GeoPakistani.net, we have a few videos from this years parade. Im actually glad that there was a parade this year. Often times in the past this parade had been cancelled for one reason or another. This is something that I have always looked forward to seeing. So enjoy if you have not seen this on TV already.

Ever wonder who designed this Minaar (tower)? I just happened to search it on Wiki and got an answer.

The Minar-e-Pakistan was designed by Murad Khan, a Turkish architect and built by “Mian Abdul Khaliq and Company” construction company.

The Minar-e-Pakistan (Urdu: ?????? ???????; M?n?r-? P?kist?n) is a tall concrete unique minaret in Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan. Its height is about 60 meters [1] or 198.5 feet. The name can be translated as Minaret of Pakistan, Pakistan Tower or Pakistan Column. Now it is officially recognized as the National Monument of Pakistan. This is the site where in 1940, seven years before the formation of Pakistan, the Muslim League passed the Lahore Resolution, now the Pakistan Resolution, in which the need for a separate homeland for the Muslims from the Indian Empire under foreign rule was originally recognised
